This has been an amazing week for our classroom because of the generosity of our community. First, a huge thank you to the Lake Michigan Credit Union for donating a whole bag of goodies to our classroom! We also received grant money from our wonderful Northview Education Foundation for watercolor refills and for books to use in the art room. Watercolors are truly special paints that students love learning how to use. Using literacy and stories in the art room helps kids learn to love reading, and we get all kinds of great ideas from authors and illustrators. Thank you, thank you!

Mrs. Lyons class also had some free paint time this week and they made came up with some cool ideas. Here is a pirate ship, a ninja turtle and a cat. Have a great week! Here's another reason why art is so important for our students.
